SIFNOS

LAID-BACK BUT FULLY ALIVE

SIFNOS IS THE PERFECT DESTINATION TO COMBINE A RELAXED HOLIDAY WITH POST-SUNSET FUN.

Sifnos is not renowned for its pretty beaches; however, as you enter the bay you will notice the long sandy beach of Platis Gialos stretching on your left. There are many cafes and restaurants alongside the beach, and we will recommend our favourites. If you want to leave Platis Gialos, the easiest way to get around is by taxi.

The main town of Apollonia with its typical Cycladic architecture and numerous rooftop terraces is totally worth a visit. As always, there are great dining options which can be followed by drinks with a view at one of the many balconies and terraces overlooking the town. Other settlements include the town of Artemonas and the picturesque village of Kastro (=Castle), the island’s ancient capital, built on top of a cliff overlooking the east coast.

Swimming at Chrisopigi

Chrisopigi is our favourite beach on the island, just 1nm north of Platis Gialos on your way to Serifos. You can spend a full day here to visit the monastery at the edge of the rock, and enjoy swimming in the best place in Sifnos. Are you brave enough? Then try diving from the edge of the rocks and ‘compete’ with both locals and tourists on this fun activity.
